Leesburg Police investigate fight involving discharge of a firearm

The Leesburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Section is investigating a fight involving the discharge of a firearm.

On March 19 at approximately 10:24 p.m., Leesburg Police Dispatchers received multiple reports of a fight in progress involving gunshots being fired in the 0-99 block of Adams Drive NE.

Multiple subjects were reported to be involved, including a black male in a white t-shirt who was discharging a firearm. As officers responded, callers advised that the involved subjects fled on foot.

The responding officers established a perimeter, however the suspect who discharged a firearm was not located. Officers canvased the area and determined that the gunfire caused damage to private property. As of this time, there have been no reported injuries as a result of this incident.

The incident remains under investigation by the Leesburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
