Battle of the Bands at Woodgrove High School May 30
Join Woodgrove High School on Saturday, May 30, for a fun night as 14 amazing Loudoun County acts compete to win a cash prize. Tickets are $5, the event is open to the public, and concessions will be sold. The first group performs at 5:45 p.m. and will run to about 9:30 p.m.
This event is being hosted by the Woodgrove Tri-M Music Honor Society, Nathan Nocon, Tri-M President and organizer of the event.
“We started this event last year in order to both give opportunities to youth musicians to perform and as a fundraiser for the Woodgrove Music Department. It was highly successful last year, and we’re excited to have it again this year,” said Nocon.
14 acts from across Loudoun County will be competing for a prize of $250 (for the best band), $100 (for the best soloist), and the Fan Favorite Award.
It promises to be a fun and energetic evening filled with live music, incredible performances and audience excitement—and attendees will even have the chance to help choose the Fan Favorite Award winner. Each act will have 15 minutes to perform and will be evaluated by a panel of judges. Concessions, including chips, candy, soda, water and pizza, will also be available for purchase during the event.
