Groundbreaking for Crosstrail Boulevard Segment April 13

Loudoun County invites members of the public to attend a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction of the county’s project to construct a segment of Crosstrail Boulevard from Sycolin Road to the Dulles Greenway.

The ceremony is scheduled for Monday, April 13, at 11 a.m. and will be held near the intersection of Crosstrail Boulevard and Sycolin Road, in Leesburg. Parking is provided in the First Baptist Church Sycolin parking lot at 19976 Sycolin Road, Leesburg. Members of the Board of Supervisors as well as representatives of the Town of Leesburg and Northern Virginia Transportation Authority are scheduled to be on hand for the ceremonial breaking of ground.

This project provides for the design and construction of a four-lane, median-divided road between Sycolin Road and the Dulles Greenway interchange. The project includes a bridge over the south tributary to Sycolin Creek. Funding for this project is from the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) and local funds.

More information, including a link to sign up for updates on the project, can be found at loudoun.gov/CrosstrailSegmentC on the Loudoun County website.
