Community Meeting on Pickleball Courts Planned for April 7
The meeting will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center
The public is invited to a preconstruction community meeting for the upcoming Pickleball Courts project.
Located adjacent to Freedom Park in southeast Leesburg, the project will involve the installation of asphalt pads to accommodate five outdoor pickleball courts surrounded by perimeter fencing with lighting. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2026.
The preconstruction community meeting will be held in the lower-level banquet hall of Ida Lee Park Recreation Center, 60 Ida Lee Drive NW, on Tuesday, April 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The meeting will serve as an opportunity to meet the project team, hear about project plans, and ask questions. The meeting is open to any interested members of the public.
The public is also invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony at the project site the following morning, Wednesday, April 8, at 10 a.m.
More information about the project, including the option to sign up for project updates, can be found at www.leesburgva.gov/pickleball.
