LCSO investigating armed robbery in Sterling

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Friday evening, Feb. 27, at a Verizon store located on the 21000 block of Epicerie Plaza in Sterling.

At approximately 7:33 p.m., deputies responded to a report that a suspect had entered the store, displayed a firearm, and demanded merchandise from a store employee. During the incident, the suspect discharged one round before fleeing the scene on foot.

No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
