LCSO names attempted bank robbery/shooting suspect
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is providing an update to the officer-involved shooting that occurred earlier today.
Conner Peltzer, 30, of Sterling, was shot on Jan. 6, while LCSO deputies were attempting to apprehend him. Aid was immediately rendered, and he was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. Peltzer was identified as a suspect in the attempted bank robbery at the Bank of America at Dulles Crossing in Sterling on Jan. 5.
Both incidents remain under investigation. The shooting will be investigated by LCSO Internal Affairs, as is standard practice when a deputy is involved in a shooting.
