LCSO investigating attempted bank robbery

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to an attempted bank robbery at the Bank of America at 45470 Dulles Crossing Plaza in Sterling at approximately 3:45 p.m.
The suspect threatened the use of explosives. After a thorough search of the building and the surrounding area, the area has been deemed safe. This remains an active investigation, and no further details are able to be released at this time.
