Juvenile charged in connection with Oct. 1 shooting investigation
The Leesburg Police Department has charged a juvenile from Pennsylvania in connection with the discharge of a firearm incident that occurred on Oct. 1, in the 700 block of E. Market Street in Leesburg.
The juvenile was taken into custody and is being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center. The juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Two Counts of Brandishing a Firearm
- Assault
- Carrying a Concealed Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile
These charges stem from the continued investigation into the incident on Oct. 1, which resulted in the arrest of D’Angelo E. Bland, 23, of Ashburn, on Oct. 20, where he was charged with:
- Attempted Malicious Wounding
- Using a Firearm in Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Brandishing a Firearm
- Discharging a Firearm in Public
- Discharging a Firearm Across a Roadway
Bland remains held on no bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
A third man, Elijah Crosby, 18, of Lovettsville, has also been charged in connection with this incident. Crosby was charged with one count of possessing a concealed firearm.
