Loudoun’s Annual Battle of the Bands seeks teen talented acts
Are you a teen musician looking for an opportunity to showcase your talent on a big stage? Loudoun’s Battle of the Bands is back, and we are seeking the best teen acts to compete in this exciting annual event.
Organized by Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS), Loudoun Youth Inc., and the Loudoun County Youth Advisory Council, this competition has been a cornerstone of the local music scene for over a decade.
The application for Battle of the Bands is now available online through Friday, Oct. 31, at 5 p.m. The competition is limited to 30 acts.
The competition supports YAC’s “for teens, by teens” mission and provides a 100%-free platform for teen musicians to play for a live audience in a popular venue with professional sound mixing.
In addition to exclusive prizes for the winning acts, the program provides useful feedback to the bands/acts from a panel of industry experts who judge the competition with a skilled ear. Many former competitors have credited their success to the lessons learned during the Battle of the Bands. Some have gone on to perform at major events such as the Van’s Warped Tour, American Idol, and even opened for Bon Jovi at the Capital One Arena.
