Loudoun fire companies hold October Fire Prevention Events

The Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System will mark October as Fire Prevention Month in partnership with the National Fire Protection Association. This year’s campaign, “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home,” focuses on how to safely buy, charge, and recycle lithium-ion batteries to prevent household fires.

Throughout the month, volunteer fire and rescue companies across the county will host open houses with hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and safety information for all ages. LC-CFRS will also share educational resources online at loudoun.gov/kidsfiresafetycorner and on social media.
