LCSO investigating fatal crash involving a pedestrian

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian that occurred on Friday, May 9. 

At approximately 9:45 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a pedestrian struck in the eastbound lanes of Rt. 7, just west of the interchange at Loudoun County Parkway, involving a pedestrian and a Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System vehicle. 

The pedestrian, identified as Michael James Singer, 39, of Ashburn, was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

This remains an active investigation by the LCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit. No further information is able to be released at this time.
