Early voting for January special election expands
Loudoun County election officials remind voters that early voting opportunities for the Jan. 7, special election will expand to include Saturday, Dec. 28, and Saturday, Jan. 4, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., at three locations:
- Loudoun Office of Elections and Voter Registration, 750 Miller Drive, Suite 150 Leesburg
- Claude Moore Recreation Center, 46105 Loudoun Park Lane, Sterling,
- Dulles South Recreation Center, 24950 Riding Center Drive, South Riding
Early voting continues at the Office of Elections and Voter Registration Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Note that the office will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan.1.) More information is online at loudoun.gov/VoteEarly.
The special election was called to fill the vacant seats in the 32nd State Senate District and the 26th House of Delegates District in the General Assembly. All registered voters in the 32nd State Senate District and the 26th House of Delegates District are eligible to vote in the election.
The deadline to register to vote in the Jan. 7 election or to update current voter registration information is Tuesday, Dec. 31. Voters may register after Dec. 31 and vote a provisional ballot. Information about Same-Day Voter Registration is available from the Virginia Department of Elections.
