Purcellville Holiday Season activities
The Town of Purcellville invites you to start the holiday season on Friday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. with the annual Town Tree Lighting at Purcellville Town Hall. Plan to spend the day in Purcellville on Saturday, Dec. 14 for the Purcellville Holiday Parade, a holiday market at the historic Bush Tabernacle, ornament decorating at the Loudoun Valley Community Center, pictures with Santa at the Purcellville Train Station, and the self-guided holiday lights tour. Details are below.
Town Tree Lighting—Friday, Dec. 6
The Town Tree Lighting will be at Purcellville Town Hall (221 S. Nursery Ave) on Friday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. with performances, treats, the countdown to the lighting of the tree, and a special visitor from the North Pole.
Purcellville Holiday Parade—Saturday, Dec. 14
The annual Purcellville Holiday Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 14 starting at noon, rain or shine. The route is about 2.5 miles long. The parade will start at Blue Ridge Middle School, then right onto A Street, right onto 20th Street, right onto Main Street, right onto Maple Avenue, right onto A Street, and returning to Blue Ridge Middle School. Please plan ahead for road closures which start at 11:30 a.m. To receive traffic notifications for the 2024 Purcellville Holiday parade, please text “PVILLEPARADE” TO 888777.
Holiday Market with LEGO Train Display—Saturday, Dec. 14
The holiday market will be at the Bush Tabernacle (250 S. Nursery Ave) on Saturday, Dec. 14 from noon to 6 p.m. There will be 25 vendors selling their wares including many handcrafted items such as jewelry, candles, soap, home décor, and more! In addition to shopping, enjoy face painting and see the amazing LEGO train display set up by the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area LEGO Train Club.
Pictures with Santa—Saturday, Dec. 14
Bring your wish list and your own camera to take pictures with Santa from 2 to 5 p.m. inside the Purcellville Train Station located at 200 N 21st Street.
Ornament Workshop—Saturday, Dec. 14
A free ornament workshop will be held at Loudoun Valley Community Center from 2 to 5 p.m. led by staff from the center, and members of the Purcellville Arts Council and the Train Station Advisory Board, The Loudoun Valley Community Center is located at 320 West School Street.
Holiday Lights Tour Map—Available Dec. 14
The Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is hosting the annual Holiday Lights Tour. This year’s map will be available on Saturday, Dec. 14 on the Town website and on the Facebook pages for the Town of Purcellville, Purcellville Parks and Recreation, and Christmas in Purcellville.
Santa Rides Through Town—Dec. 20 and 21
The Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company will be giving Santa a ride through Purcellville on Dec. 20 and 21 at 6 p.m. Watch for details at https://purcellvillefire.org/.
