Purcellville holds Oath of Office Ceremony for newly elected Mayor and Council Members

On Thursday, Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m., the Town of Purcellville held an Oath of Office Ceremony for Mayor-elect Christopher Bertaut and Council members-elect Susan Khalil, Ben Nett, Caleb Stought, and Kevin Wright.

The Oath of Office reaffirms each elected or re-elected official’s commitment to faithfully perform the duties as Mayor or Council member for the Town of Purcellville. The Town’s Charter requires members of the Council take the Oath of Office. The ceremony took place at Town Hall, 221 S. Nursery Avenue in Council Chambers and was performed by the Honorable Gary M. Clemens, Clerk of the Loudoun County Circuit Court.
