LCSO charges for fatal vehicle crash in South Riding
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the fatal single-vehicle crash in South Riding today.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Loudoun County Parkway and Tall Cedars Parkway for a report of a crash. A damaged 2023 Ford Mustang was located on eastbound Tall Cedars Parkway. The single-vehicle crash resulted in the death of two occupants and injuries to two others. An earlier report identified the three passengers as two males and one female; this has been corrected to three male passengers, along with a male driver.
The victims’ identities are being withheld until next of kin have been notified.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Bijay Tamang, 30, of Aldie. Mr. Tamang has been charged with Involuntary Manslaughter and is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond. This investigation is ongoing. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and additional charges are pending.
