LCSO arrests deputy at Adult Detention Center

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office arrested Deputy Mason Zimmerman on Oct. 27, for violation of VA Code 18.2-64.2, “carnal knowledge of a person detained or arrested by a law-enforcement officer, or an inmate,” a class 6 felony. The incident occurred at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, and the other party was a female inmate.

Following his arrest, Mr. Zimmerman was transferred to the Alexandria City Adult Detention Center. He was arraigned today, and his employment was immediately terminated. Mr. Zimmerman has a bond hearing on Oct. 29, and the investigation remains ongoing. Mr. Zimmerman was hired by the LCSO as a Correctional Deputy on July 14, 2016.
