LCSO investigates apparent suicide at the County Adult Detention Center
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the apparent suicide of an inmate at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
The inmate was found unresponsive in his cell at 10:03 a.m. this morning, Sept. 6, by an LCSO deputy conducting a routine security check. Lifesaving measures were immediately initiated, and medical personnel at the ADC responded and provided emergency medical treatment. Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System personnel arrived and provided additional lifesaving measures. The inmate was pronounced deceased by Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System personnel.
The inmate’s family has been notified, but his name is not being released out of respect for their privacy.
The inmate was in a single cell inside the facility after being booked into the ADC in August on domestic-related felony and misdemeanor charges.
His death is under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
