LCSO investigating crash in Ashburn that has left three dead
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that occurred last evening in Ashburn, resulting in the loss of three lives.
At approximately 10:50 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Loudoun County Parkway and Shellhorn Road in Ashburn, for a report of a crash involving two vehicles.
The crash involved a 2023 Dodge Challenger and a 2023 Toyota Sienna taxicab. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of the Dodge was traveling northbound on Loudoun County Parkway when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median, and struck the Toyota Sienna minivan head-on. Speed is believed to be a factor.
The sole occupant of the Dodge, a 56-year-old male from Las Vegas, NV, and the two occupants of the Toyota, a 51-year-old male from Silver Spring, MD, and a 66-year-old male from Brambleton, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Currently, the identities of the deceased are not being released until next of kin notifications are made.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is working diligently to investigate the circumstances leading to this tragic incident. Witnesses to the crash who have not already spoken with law enforcement are asked to contact Investigator Doug Lake at 703-777-1021.
