Stephen Karbelk withdraws from BOS at large race

On Aug. 22, effective immediately, Stephen Karbelk, the Republican nominee for
Chairman At-Large, Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, has decided to withdraw from the
race.
“It’s with a very heavy heart that I have decided to withdraw from this exciting race,” said
Karbelk. “Since being nominated on June 16, I have enjoyed significant support from
my friends, fellow Republicans, and citizens of Loudoun County.
However, for personal reasons related to the recent developments regarding the deteriorating
health of my mother-in-law, I have decided that I cannot continue with the race. I need to support
my wife and her family in South Carolina during this time of need.”
Karbelk said is very thankful to his donors, supporters and campaign staff for their hard work
and dedication.
“Over the next few weeks, we’ll be reaching out to each of my donors to ask if they would like
for me to return their donations or re-direct their financial support to other Republican
candidates,” said Karbelk.
