63 Loudoun First Responders Graduate Fire and EMS Training Programs

Sixty-three new firefighters and emergency medical personnel were recognized during a graduation ceremony celebrating the completion of intensive fire and emergency medical services training through the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System.

The ceremony was held June 18 and brought together graduates, family members, friends, fire and rescue leadership, county officials and members of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors to recognize the graduates’ commitment to serving their communities.

Deputy Clerk of the Circuit Court Laura Boudreaux administered the oath of office to the graduates. Deputy Chief of Volunteer Administration Todd Lupton served as master of ceremonies.

Among those attending were Loudoun County Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis Randall, Broad Run District Supervisor Sylvia Glass, Leesburg District Supervisor Kristen Umstattd and County Administrator Tim Hemstreet.

The graduating class included:

• 19 Firefighter I-II graduates
• 23 Advanced Emergency Medical Technician graduates
• 21 Emergency Medical Technician graduates

In addition to balancing full-time jobs, school and family responsibilities, the graduates completed hundreds of hours of classroom instruction and hands-on training to earn Loudoun County, Commonwealth of Virginia and national certifications.

As part of the ceremony, instructors recognized one outstanding student from each class for demonstrating exceptional leadership, dedication, academic achievement and the ability to motivate fellow students.

• Robert Dorrell – Fall 2026 Advanced EMT School
• Haley Countryman – Spring 2026 Volunteer EMT School

LC-CFRS officials congratulated all 63 graduates for their hard work, dedication and commitment to protecting and serving Loudoun County residents.
