“This image was actually taken from out of the second-floor window of my house one morning after a nighttime snowfall … but it is no longer visible, because the pines have grown so high,” said Jim Hanna.  It is of Morrisonville, one of Western Loudoun’s many “crossroads communities” that were small at the turn of the 19th century and remain small today.  It is also the birthplace of Russell Baker, our esteemed citizen now in Leesburg.  Said Hanna, “Everyone I know who passes through this Morrisonville loves it.”
