The Trump Administration recently appointed Elizabeth Walker Green as the new State Director for USDA Rural Development in Virginia.
Green brings more than 30 years of federal and state political experience to the agency. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Communications and Political Science and has lived in Virginia for 35 years where she has cultivated relations with the state’s political and industry leaders. Green looks forward to working closely with federal, state, and local policymakers to improve economic opportunities throughout rural Virginia. Green currently resides in Ashland, Virginia with her husband and two children.
As State Director, Green will use her leadership experience to oversee Rural Development programs in a customer-focused manner to restore prosperity in rural Virginia.
